Upcoming Magic Classes

Did you know the average part-time magician can make between $50k-$100K annually, while the average full-time magician makes over $200,000 annually?  At Holy City Magic, our goal is to develop local talent and help magicians in our area grow!  Magic classes are your first step!

Or, maybe you just want to learn magic to impress friends or family, or to have fun with a new skill.  So how do you get started? The first step is classes from a reputable professional. At Holy City Magic, we have had numerous people ask us about teaching classes and we have decided to start our classes up again!  We normally hold at least one class annually.  Here are the details...

MAGIC 101

Each course will consist of five total classes, one night a week (Wednesdays) for five weeks at night at 6:00 pm for roughly an hour and a half. The first class starts Jan. 4, 2024.
 

Classes will focus on topic such as…
    - Close-Up Magic (cards, sponge balls, bar magic)
    - Mentalism
    - Cups and Balls/Chop Cups and Rope Magic
    - Floating and Levitation
    - Showmanship and Show Structure
    - More
 

Classes will be working sessions and everyone will not only walk away with magic that you can do on your own, you will gain a working knowledge to build on and LOTS of resources that will help you grow and develop.  Our past students are performing their own shows and loving magic!  We also started up  our monthly Charleston magic club meetings.  Think of this as a free magic 102, not just a class with self-working magic tricks.  Our owner, Howard Blackwell along with Gogo Cuerva will be teaching the classes along with other magicians who specialize in different areas.

Classes start on Jan. 4 and run every Wednesday until Jan. 31.  

For one low price, you will learn from a nationally known magician every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., five total classes.

PRICE:

We have said from the beginning, when we hold classes, we want to keep them reasonable to help build interest in magic!  Similar programs throughout the country run into the thousands of dollars!  The cost for our entire program is $185 per person plus tax, and a $40 equipment fee (there is no mark up on equipment).  The total cost for the class and equipment is $225 plus tax.  We are trying to get a good number of participants so we can order kits and start planning.

Class size will be limited.  Classes are geared for adult audiences but appropriate for ages 14 and up.
