About Holy City Magic

Welcome to Holy City Magic, an intimate magic theater and bar located in the heart of beautiful Charleston, SC. Holy City Magic is more than just a show venue, we provide a unique night out experience for our guests. Our beautiful theater and speakeasy style bar are situated in the heart of the upper King Street district at 49 1/2 John Street (corner of King/John). The theater is located in a historic 200-year-old building, and you can still see the darkened floors from a Civil War building fire. Upon entering, you will enjoy closeup magic at the bar situated in a magic themed lounge area. At showtime, you will take your seats in front of our stylish stage to enjoy a rotating schedule of shows featuring world-renowned magical and variety entertainment.
Evening Shows
Not the magic show you remember as a child! Holy City Magic offers fun evening shows geared toward adult audience. The evening starts with a cocktail hour featuring close-up magic out our bar, followed by a fun, hour and a half show with an intermission. Shows feature our resident magician or one of our nationally renowned guest performers!
Family Matinees
Bring the entire family out to experience an amazing matinee shows suitable for all ages! Shows are typically an hour long and feature our resident magician or one of our nationally renowned guest performers! Our shows are interactive and offer something for the entire family.

Took the whole family to Holy City Magic for a Friday night in downtown Charleston - fantastic show! Can be hard to find something both we and our college kids enjoy, but this was a big hit for everyone — Money well spent! There was a good mix of locals and tourists. The entire staff is friendly, engaging, entertaining! Definitely recom

What a fun and unique date night! The small theater gives you the opportunity to be up close and involved with the show. The magic at the bar during cocktail hour will make your jaw drop. Absolutely one of the best shows my wife and I have ever been to!! There's not a bad seat in the house and we had a blast. We are locals and after raving about our experience, several of our friends went the following weekend and they too were blown away. I highly recommend Holy City Magic!
