Perform with us!
Interested in performing in Charleston, SC? Holy City Magic books the occasional guest act for our weekend shows. Guest acts perform an hour plus adult show on Friday and Saturday nights and a Family Matinee Show and Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 pm. We have reworked our guest performer model. Guest performers MUST be highly promotable. Guests must have significant credits (national TV appearances, Las Vegas residency, significant social media presence, etc.) in order to perform at Holy City Magic.
What you need...
In general, our clientele are high-end, who enjoy a good drink and a great time! Also, 70% of our audience is female. We are looking for national level talent with great public reviews and a fantastic show! Think Magic Castle, but smaller and on the east coast... classy but fun! Your show must be seasoned enough for the Castle to fit at Holy City Magic. Finger flicking and sleight of hand are great, but we require more. You must have the full package and provide quality entertainment value. An interactive show and a performer who is well versed in audience management is a must! Performances can use SOME "blue" material for adult shows and VERY LIMITED bad language (any language MUST fit the character). Insult and racial comedy is strictly prohibited.
Have what it takes?
If you have what it takes and would like to fill one of our guest spots, send us a video of at least 3/4 of your act. A demo reel WILL NOT be enough to hire you. Our committee of three seasoned performers evaluate and make recommendation as to who to hire. Please keep in mind, guest spots are limited to one or two weekends a month, so spots are VERY limited.
